May Tri-Chamber Speaker Luncheon
5/3/2018
11:45 AM - 1:00 PM

Event Description

Join us for our Tri-Chamber (Pleasant Grove-Lindon, American Fork, and Lehi Area) Speaker Luncheon. We are pleased to welcome the President and Chairman of Quick Quack Carwash, Timothy Wright, as our speaker.

Timothy Wright, MAI began his career in the early 1980s as a commercial real estate appraiser with the west coast firm PGP Valuation. After receiving his professional MAI accreditation in record time, he was elevated to partner status and was relocated from Seattle to Sacramento to begin company operations there. Under his leadership, Mr. Wright and his team successfully grew the California practice into a dominant firm. He also served as president of the corporation, leading it effectively through a period of expansion and growth in the economically troubled 1990s. He was the driving force in automating business processes, creating web based technology tools, identifying and executing on cost saving measures and achieving forward leaps in productivity per employee. Mr. Wright is a strategic “big picture” thinker who looks for innovation. After a notable sale of the business to First Service/Colliers, he left PGP in 2006 to build his other companies. Besides having valued billions of dollars’ worth of commercial property, he has specific analytical and management expertise in many property types, including self-storage, manufactured housing communities, apartments and car washes.

In 2002, he co-founded Crescendo Properties, an investment company focusing on self-storage. This young company assembled a portfolio of twelve self-storage properties valued at $90 million before becoming a founding portfolio in 2012 in Life Storage, an industry-leading consolidation. Crescendo Properties continued its involvement in Life Storage as an area development partner. Life Storage received much industry recognition for its rapid growth to 92 properties and 8 million square feet in only 4 years. In 2016, Life Storage was sold to Sovern Self Storage, a publicly traded self-storage REIT (SSS) for $1.35B. The Crescendo company name bears the mark of his musical training and interest. In 2004, he co-founded Splash & Dash Carwash (subsequently renamed Quick Quack Carwash). Quick Quack Carwash is a "Top 10" national industry leading green exterior express carwash company. In addition to his roles as President and Chairman, he leads the acquisition team and is the point person for debt and equity relationships. Mr. Wright graduated from Brigham Young University in International Relations, has over 35 years of real estate experience and is a current "sitting member" of the famed Mormon Tabernacle Choir.
